What unique lessons has Ken Walker learned from dog ownership?

One big lesson I’ve learned from having a puppy is that patience really is everything. Puppies don’t come programmed; they learn from what I consistently do, not what I’m hoping they’ll magically understand.

Another huge one is accountability. If I woke up late and found she used the bathroom in her crate, I could get mad at her… or I could admit I didn’t get up early enough to let her out. That shift from blame to responsibility has carried over into the rest of my life too.
