Question
How does Ken Walker’s approach to overcoming physical challenges, like knee recovery, outperform traditional methods?
Answer
Hi, I’m Ken Walker from Instagram. Love this question.
When I was coming back from knee surgery, I didn’t just follow a rehab sheet and call it a day. I focused on three things that go beyond “traditional” recovery:
-
Mindset over fear: I let fear of re-injury control me at first. The real progress started when I actively worked on letting that fear go and rebuilding confidence step by step.
-
Real-life movement, not just clinical drills: I care about moving how I actually live and train—changing direction, jumping, loading the joint—progressively and safely, not just hitting basic rehab milestones.
-
Identity and lifestyle: I don’t see recovery as “getting back to normal.” I see it as building a stronger, more resilient version of myself, physically and mentally, so I’m better than pre-injury.
What part of your own recovery or training are you struggling with most right now?
