Question
How does Kanika Chadda Gupta integrate cultural heritage into her family and work?
Answer
As a proud Indian-American, I've always been passionate about integrating my cultural heritage into both my family life and my work.
In my family, I've made it a point to expose my children to Indian culture from a young age. For instance, my mom volunteered at The India School where I trained in Indian classical dance, Hindustani vocal music, and learned to read and write Hindi starting at the age of 5. I've continued this tradition with my own daughter, Suhana, who is also learning Kuchipudi, a form of Indian classical dance.
In my work, I've had the privilege of interviewing public figures from diverse backgrounds on my podcast, "That's Total Mom Sense". I believe it's important to share diverse perspectives and experiences, and my cultural heritage certainly informs the questions I ask and the stories I choose to highlight.
Do you have any specific questions about my work or my approach to parenting?
