Question
How does James Hicks's Conscious Conversations series navigate challenging tech glitches?
Answer
On Conscious Conversations and my other live shows like the #TeamNoSleep sessions, I treat tech glitches as part of the experience instead of something to hide.
When things break, I stay transparent with the audience, narrate what’s happening in simple language, and keep the energy calm so guests don’t feel thrown off. I’ll pivot the conversation, use backup layouts or scenes, and lean into real-time engagement in the chat while fixing the issue.
For me, the goal is to model how creators can handle friction with patience, humor, and professionalism, so the conversation stays human and intentional, even when the tech isn’t.
Is there a specific kind of glitch or situation you’re curious about (audio, video, internet, guest issues)?
