Question
What are the key highlights from Hispana Global's participation in Hispanicize 2014?
Answer
In 2014 I spent several days at Hispanicize in Miami, a conference that brought together over a thousand leaders in blogs, social media, agencies, brands, film, music and tech focused on the U.S. Hispanic market. It really proved itself as a truly multimedia event.
One major highlight for me was speaking on a multi-hour panel about transitioning from journalism to becoming a digital media entrepreneur. I shared the stage with leaders like Manny Ruiz, Gaby Natale, Kathy Cano Murillo, Verónica Villafañe, Teresa Garza, Joscelyn Ramos Campbell and others, encouraging those who want to pursue their dreams.
There were also memorable brand and cultural moments: lunches with Carlos Vives and Cuban blogger Yoani Sánchez, a McDonald’s yacht event, and the presence of César Chávez’s granddaughters at a screening related to the movie about his life.
Would you like me to focus more on networking takeaways, business lessons, or the fun experiences from Hispanicize 2014?
