I blend science and spirituality the way two good friends should be blended: each keeps the other honest.

On the science side, I lean on:

  • Grief psychology and nervous system science
  • Evidence-based tools: sleep, exercise, mindfulness, cognitive reframing
  • Research on things like continuing bonds and post-traumatic growth

On the spiritual side, I bring in:

  • Afterlife and consciousness research (NDEs, mediumship, verifiable cases)
  • Practices that help you continue a relationship with your loved one beyond death
  • A framework that sees us as spiritual beings having a human experience

I test spiritual ideas with an engineer’s curiosity: “Does it help? Is there evidence? Does it reduce suffering and increase meaning?” When both science and spirituality point in the same direction, that’s where I build tools, like my GEMS framework (Gratitude, Exercise/Sleep, Mindfulness, Self-care) and my focus on ongoing connection rather than “moving on.”

What part of that mix are you most interested in—grief science, afterlife evidence, or practical tools you can use day to day?
