Question
How does Brian D Smith’s collaboration with Raymond enhance his work with NDE survivors?
Answer
Brian D. Smith here. Raymond and I complement each other in a way that really serves NDE survivors.
Raymond brings deep lived expertise in NDE aftereffects—he “died” multiple times in one night, comes from a family of seers, and now trains and counsels medical professionals and experiencers on integration. He understands the confusion, isolation, and long-term adjustment from the inside out.
I bring my background as a grief guide, researcher, and board member with groups like IANDS and Helping Parents Heal. When I feature Raymond in conversations, I’m able to:
- Highlight the often-ignored difficult side of NDEs (disorientation, depression, relationship strain)
- Give survivors practical language and validation they can share with family and clinicians
- Connect them with someone actively working with hospitals and NDE patients in the UK
In short, our collaboration widens the safety net: emotional support from my grief work plus Raymond’s specialized NDE integration expertise.
Are you asking as an experiencer yourself, or more from a research/curiosity angle?
