Question
What signature techniques does Gabrielle Nistico recommend for aspiring voiceover artists?
Answer
I focus on three big “signature” areas with aspiring voice actors: performance, business, and mindset.
-
Performance: I push practical, targeted training over theory. Read like a human, not a “voice.” Learn to interpret copy, take direction fast, and specialize (e.g., commercial, animation, radio imaging, promo) instead of being generically “good at everything.”
-
Business: You cannot spell voiceover without CEO. I insist you treat this as a business: branding, marketing, understanding how voice actors actually make money, and building systems to find and book work.
-
Mindset: No‑BS realism. It is hard work. I expect consistent practice, willingness to be coached, and long-term commitment rather than “quick win” thinking.
What part of your voiceover journey are you most focused on right now: performance, demos, or business/marketing?
