I focus less on “gear worship” and more on workflow, consistency, and control. A few of my go‑to DAW habits for voiceover:

• Build a repeatable session template: track layout, input, levels, high‑pass filter, light compression, markers, naming. You open, record, go.
• Get fast with non-destructive editing: strip silence, tighten breaths, slip-edit timing, and use playlists/versions instead of “saving over” takes.
• Use visual + meter awareness: learn what healthy levels look like on your waveform and meters so you can spot problems before you listen.
• Create macro / shortcut workflows for your most common tasks: de-click, normalize or gain-stage, basic EQ, export with correct naming and format.
