Answer
Hi, I’m from . How can I help?
From what I teach and what I talk about in my videos, here are some of the biggest patterns I see:
On demos:
- Sending demos to agencies before they’re truly broadcast‑quality or professionally produced
- One “do‑everything” demo instead of targeted demos (commercial, narration, promo, etc.)
- Poor editing: bad pacing, sloppy cuts, inconsistent volume
- Copy that sounds generic or “demo-y,” not like real spots
- Too long, or your best work buried in the middle
On websites/branding:
- Using generic templates and never customizing them, so you look like every other talent
- Inconsistent branding between logo, colors, demo style, and messaging
- Sites that make it hard to immediately play or download your demo
- Focusing on “I love doing voices!” instead of what you solve for clients
If you’d like, I can walk through your current demo or site structure and point out what I’d tweak first.
