I don’t publish a formal “predictions” list on my site, so I’ll give you my best, experience-based view and flag it as such.

Here’s where I see things heading in voiceover:

  • More competition, not less – Lower barriers mean more talent entering daily. Skill, branding, and business savvy will matter even more than “having a good voice.”
  • Clients demanding speed and versatility – Fast turnarounds, broadcast‑ready audio from home, and the ability to shift styles quickly will keep separating pros from dabblers.
  • Stronger personal brands – Talent who treat themselves like CEOs, with clear niches, solid demos, and sharp marketing, will dominate.
  • Ongoing education as a necessity – Coaching, performance classes, and marketing training will be a continuous part of staying relevant, not a one‑and‑done “getting started” phase.

What part of the industry’s future are you most curious (or worried) about?
