I focus on one big idea: your demo should always sound like who you are right now, not who you were years ago.

From what I teach and post:

  • Most working talent refresh demos about every 1–2 years
  • Update sooner if your demo no longer reflects your current sound, range, or niche
  • If you feel even a little embarrassed sending it out, that’s your red flag to redo it
  • Don’t get “demo complacent” – a stale demo is like cold coffee

Take a few minutes regularly to relisten, scrutinize, and ask: “Would I happily send this to my dream client today?”

What type of demo are you most focused on updating right now – commercial, narration, character, or something else?
