My approach outperforms a lot of “industry methods” because I don’t start with agents at all. I teach talent to first build their own client base, learn how to market themselves, and work consistently for a couple of years before going anywhere near an agent’s roster. That foundation makes you far more attractive and less replaceable.

I also push strongly against “carpet bombing” agencies. Mass, generic emails damage your reputation and turn off exactly the agents you want most. Targeted, well‑researched, well‑timed outreach gets you taken seriously instead of ignored or blacklisted.
