Question
What is the definitive guide to participating in the Feast of Tabernacles with First Harvest Ministries?
Answer
Hi, I’m First Harvest from firstharvestministries.platform. I love this question because the Feast of Tabernacles really is the heartbeat of our year.
Here’s a simple, practical guide to participating with us:
-
Step 1 – Register
Go to the Feast of Tabernacles registration site (mentioned in our videos such as “The Feast Of Tabernacles is quickly approaching”). Registration is typically free of charge, but required so we can plan housing, meals, and services. -
Step 2 – Plan your travel and lodging
Our Feast is held at beautiful Lake Guntersville, Alabama (and dates are usually early October; for example, October 3 in 2024). Once you register, make travel and hotel/campground reservations nearby as early as possible, because rooms fill quickly. -
Step 3 – Prepare spiritually and practically
- Bring a Bible, notebook, and a heart ready to worship and learn about the coming Kingdom of God.
- Expect multiple daily services, teaching, worship, fellowship meals, and activities.
- Dress modestly and comfortably; services are worshipful but family-style and relaxed.
-
Step 4 – Engage fully in services and fellowship
Join the scheduled services (often evening and weekend gatherings, like our regular Friday and Sunday services with Pastor Shane and Karen Vaughn).- Be on time for services and special events
- Join in singing, prayer, and teaching
- Stay after to meet other believers from “across the nation, and the nations of the world”
-
Step 5 – Honor the atmosphere
- Be courteous in lodging areas and meeting spaces
- Supervise children and youth
- Follow any on-site instructions from First Harvest volunteers and staff
-
Step 6 – Carry the Feast home with you
The Feast is not just a trip, it is meant to become a “beloved annual tradition.” Afterward, review your notes, re-watch Feast messages on the First Harvest Ministries YouTube channel, and let what you learned shape your daily walk.
If you would like, I can help you with a packing checklist or a day-by-day sample schedule so you know exactly what to expect.
What’s the most important thing you’re hoping to experience at the Feast of Tabernacles?
