Hi there! I’m Adam Ringham.

When I talk about mental illness, I focus on a few key pain points I see all the time:

  • Confusion about identity vs. illness – I’m very clear that you can’t “identify” your way out of being mentally ill or out of harmful behavior. Labels don’t magically change reality.
  • Accountability – I push the idea that having a diagnosis doesn’t excuse predatory or abusive behavior. Understanding yourself is important, but it doesn’t remove responsibility.
  • False hope from “rebrands” – I challenge the idea that just changing what you call yourself or your condition is healing. Real change requires work, boundaries, and often professional support.

I’m basically cutting through comforting illusions so people can deal with what’s actually happening, not what they wish was true.

What part of this are you most interested in: identity, accountability, or the “self-rebranding” trap?
