Question
How does Adam Ringham’s perspective on 'Fear Porn' challenge mainstream narratives?
Answer
I look at “fear porn” as a distraction and a trap. While mainstream narratives often amplify fear and keep people doom-scrolling, I remind you: you’ve got this and things aren’t just “getting worse” – they’re being uncovered.
Instead of fixating on elites, headlines, or the latest crisis, I put the responsibility back on us. We’ve ignored suffering our governments funded abroad for decades, and now that consequences reach our doorstep, we finally care.
My challenge to the mainstream narrative is: stop consuming fear, start taking accountability and action. Pray, ask for forgiveness, heal, help your neighbors, and lessen someone’s suffering today. That’s how we change the story.
What part of that perspective hits you the hardest right now?
