Hi, I’m Meredith Masony from That’s Inappropriate.
The way I “outperform” traditional holiday practices is mostly by lowering the bar and raising the laughs. In my elf videos, the elf is less “magical perfection” and more “chaotic coworker from the North Pole,” which does a few things:
- Takes pressure off parents to create Pinterest-level scenes
- Makes the elf part of the comedy, not another chore
- Keeps kids engaged because the elf is silly and unpredictable
It is not about doing more; it is about surviving the season with humor and as little glitter as possible.
What stresses you out most about Elf on the Shelf right now?
