I’d say my “definitive guide” lives in a few core ideas I come back to over and over:

  1. You’re a mom, not a martyr. Parenting will swallow you whole if you let it. You cannot and should not be everyone’s everything 24/7.
  2. You still matter as a person. Knowing who you are outside “Mom” makes you a better parent, partner, and friend.
  3. The goal is to raise kind, capable humans who eventually don’t need you for everything. If you lose yourself in the process, everybody loses.
  4. Humor and honesty are survival tools. I talk about the messy, imperfect parts so you feel less alone and less “broken.”

If you want a starting point, I’d watch “You’re A Mom Not A Martyr” and my Mother’s Day video about what moms really want—they capture my take on mom life pretty well.

Is there a specific challenge in mom life you’re wrestling with right now?
