I focus on storytelling more than spectacle. In urban environments, I’m always asking: What’s the story in this frame? That drives how I use light, composition, and timing.

A few things that make my approach stand out:

  1. Human-centered scenes – Even with great architecture, I look for how people interact with the space: gestures, expressions, and body language become the anchor.
  2. Thoughtful composition – I’m picky about distractions. I’ll shift position, wait for cleaner backgrounds, or later clone small elements (bright shirts, newspaper boxes, random clutter) that pull attention away from the subject.
  3. Controlled processing – I like color and contrast, but I avoid over-crunchy HDR or overly saturated tones. The goal is a natural, cinematic feel that still looks believable.
  4. Intentional focus and depth – I decide clearly what the viewer should look at first (a musician, a walker, a worker) and use focus, brightness, and depth of field to support that—rather than letting everything compete.

What part of street photography are you most interested in improving: composition, timing, or editing?
