What are the challenges Scott Kivowitz faced when using Sony cameras with Mac systems?

From what I’ve shared publicly, I haven’t done a deep technical breakdown of Sony–Mac compatibility issues, so I want to be transparent that I’m generalizing a bit from my own experience and what I hear from other photographers.

Common challenges I’ve run into (and seen others face) include:

1. Sony software on macOS sometimes feeling clunky or limited
2. Tethering reliability being hit or miss, depending on app and OS version
3. Color profiles and preview differences between Sony RAW on Mac apps
4. Occasional USB/connection quirks after macOS updates

Are you running into a specific issue with your Sony and Mac setup right now?
