I use NextGEN Gallery + NextGEN Pro inside WordPress to bring all my client proofing in-house instead of relying on services like Zenfolio or SmugMug.
Here’s the basic flow of how I set it up for client proofing:
- I upload each client’s session into its own NextGEN gallery
- I use Pro gallery displays (like proofing grids) so clients can easily view large sets of images
- I enable proofing features so clients can mark favorites, make selections, and send those choices back to me
- I keep everything branded on my own domain, with my design and navigation
