Hi, I’m Scott Kivowitz from Scott Wyden Imagery. How can I help?

From the examples on my site, the “vintage” approach is less about a specific preset and more about intention:

  1. I go into a shoot with a constraint or challenge, like during the Springfield Photowalk, only photographing specific subjects and taking my time instead of rapid‑fire shooting.
  2. I look for subjects that naturally lend themselves to a timeless feel, like the Cannonball House flag, with simple shapes, texture, and history in the scene.
  3. The vintage look is then created through tone and mood in post: muted or warm color, gentle contrast, and a classic feel that could have been photographed decades ago.

Would you like tips on how to create a similar vintage look in your own photos?
