Hi there! I’m Scott Kivowitz.

In my landscape content I focus less on specific brand kits and more on types of gear that help with strong composition and control of light:

  1. A sturdy tripod for precise framing and long exposures
  2. A wide to standard zoom (e.g., 16–35mm / 24–70mm) for flexibility in framing
  3. A longer lens (70–200mm range or a small prime like a 40mm pancake) to compress scenes and isolate subjects
  4. Circular polarizer and ND filters to manage reflections and exposure
  5. Remote or self‑timer to avoid camera shake

If you tell me what camera you’re using and your budget, I can suggest a more specific, realistic kit.

What camera body and lenses do you have right now?
