What are the essential skills Scott Kivowitz looks for in a photography assistant?

The number one skill Scott looks for in a photography assistant is a strong desire to learn everything possible about photography. Curiosity and eagerness to grow are key.

He also values assistants who:

1. Are willing to experiment and take creative risks
2. Have a basic understanding of camera gear, technique, and theory
3. Can potentially teach him something along the way
4. Are professional around clients, speaking when appropriate, not to dominate the session
