Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse. How can I help?

From my holiday posts and podcasts, a few unique insights really stand out:

  1. Traditions don’t have to be big or perfect. A lot of what I thought were “traditions” as a kid were just things my parents casually did; your kids likely see your normal “stuff we do” as traditions too.
  2. It’s okay to let traditions change or die if they no longer fit your season of life. Enjoy the memories and move on instead of forcing it.
  3. Plan memories intentionally but simply: put a few things on the calendar early, demand a bit of family time from teens, ask kids what they actually want, and remember it can be as easy as a movie and cuddles.
  4. Focus on the real goal: not “perfect traditions,” but happy memories and a family that enjoys being together.
