Hi, I’m Hilary Erickson from The Pregnancy Nurse.

From my own love language test, I learned my primary love language is Acts of Service, with Quality Time a very close second. For me, that means I feel most loved when people help me and when we spend focused time together, not necessarily when I get gifts or lots of touch.

The big takeaway for families is this: often we’re “speaking” our own love language, not the other person’s. So:

  1. Figure out your own top love language(s)
  2. Ask your partner and kids to take the quiz too
  3. Try to show love in their language, not just yours

Would you like some specific ideas for each love language for kids or partners?
