I don’t actually frame what I do as a formal “We Sow We Grow method,” and I’m not a Master Gardener (yet). What I share through We Sow We Grow is a community-centered, learn-as-you-grow approach rather than a strict technique.

Here’s how it tends to stand out:

  1. It’s rooted in real, small-plot, South Side of Chicago experience (urban, often challenging conditions)
  2. I share mistakes as openly as successes, so you skip a lot of trial-and-error
  3. There’s ongoing support: Facebook group, lives, and in-person learning in the garden when you’re local
  4. The focus is food education and sovereignty, not perfection or competition

What kind of garden are you working with right now—balcony, backyard, community plot, something else?
