I focus on two things when I’m capturing travel experiences: simple tools that I’ll actually use and techniques that keep me present in the moment.

For tools, I rely on:

  1. A good smartphone camera or lightweight DSLR
  2. Extra memory cards and battery pack
  3. A small tripod or stabilizer for low-light and family shots

For techniques, I like to:

  1. Shoot both wide landscapes and close-up details (flowers, signs, food)
  2. Mix posed family photos with candid moments
  3. Capture short video clips on hikes, road trips, and city walks
  4. Jot quick notes on my phone so I remember stories to share later

What kind of trips are you hoping to document—family travel with kids, couples’ getaways, or solo adventures?
