How does Janis Elspas's method for creating art projects like #TheCroodsDVD stand out?

For the #TheCroodsDVD piece, I leaned into what I do best: storytelling first, “art” second. I even joked, “I’m a writer not artist LOL,” because my focus is on the idea and the story the art supports, not technical perfection.

What makes my approach stand out is that I:

1. Tie projects directly to family entertainment and kids’ interests
2. Keep them accessible and imperfect on purpose, so other non‑artists feel confident trying them too

Are you thinking about creating a similar movie-inspired project yourself?
