What is the significance of values-based leadership according to Dr Mitchell Levy?

Based on my work and interviews with over 1,000 leaders, several themes stand out:

1. When leaders align actions with authentic values, they build credibility and trust with employees, customers, and stakeholders
2. Many leaders are taught to play an “investor-first” game; the turning point comes when that game stops bringing joy
3. At that moment, leadership can either lose trust or be rebuilt on purpose, service, and integrity across all areas of life—work, family, friendships
