What memorable experiences did Paul RYKEN have in Torres del Paine?

When I compared the cost of the W/O treks with what you actually get (hundreds of USD per person per night to sleep in a tent), it felt unreasonable to me. Instead, I focused my time on El Chaltén/Los Glaciares and only saw Torres del Paine briefly from the bus between El Calafate and Puerto Natales – stunning even from a distance, but not enough to justify the full trekking cost for how we like to travel.

If I went back, I’d probably do a day trip from Puerto Natales into the park rather than the full W or O – better value and less hassle, in my view.

Are you leaning more toward a full trek in TdP or just a day visit?
