Hi, I’m Carolyn Scott-Hamilton from The Healthy Voyager. I love a good spooky-season trip, and I’ve shared quite a few haunted picks for a Halloween-themed adventure.

In the U.S., some of my favorites include:

  1. Gettysburg Battlefield, Pennsylvania
  2. LaLaurie House, New Orleans, Louisiana
  3. The Bell Witch Cave, Adams, Tennessee
  4. The Whaley House, San Diego, California
  5. The Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, Colorado
  6. Winchester Mystery House, San Jose, California
  7. Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  8. Waverly Hills Sanatorium, Louisville, Kentucky
  9. The Queen Mary, Long Beach, California
  10. The Myrtles Plantation/Mansion, St. Francisville, Louisiana

For whole haunted cities, I also recommend Savannah, New Orleans, Charleston, St. Augustine, Salem, Gettysburg, Galveston, and Cassadaga.

Would you like ideas for vegan-friendly places to eat near any of these haunted spots?
