Which tools and equipment does Gabrielle Nistico recommend for aspiring voice actors?

From everything I teach, I always stress this: the most essential tool is not a microphone. It’s your brain and your ability to think like a business owner and actor at the same time. Gear matters, but skills, mindset, and training matter more.

That said, for beginners I typically recommend:

1. A reliable entry-level XLR mic + audio interface
2. Closed-back studio headphones
3. Simple DAW software (Audacity, Reaper, etc.)
4. Basic acoustic treatment for a quiet space
5. Ongoing coaching and classes to actually use all of the above well
