I focus on two big things when it comes to standing out in voiceover: business and performance.

On the business side, I push talent to think like a CEO, not a hobbyist. That means:

  1. Building a clear, memorable brand
  2. Understanding how voice actors actually make money
  3. Learning to market yourself and find, pursue, and keep clients

On the performance side, you stand out by:

  1. Training smart (not just often) with targeted coaching and classes
  2. Developing a demo that reflects where you truly belong in the market
  3. Knowing your strengths, your “lane,” and leaning into it consistently

If you put in the work on both fronts, you stop blending in with the thousands of “I have a nice voice” people online.

What part of standing out do you struggle with more right now: the acting side or the business side?
