According to me, there isn’t one single “definitive” guidebook, but there is a clear path I teach over and over. It boils down to:

  1. Learn the industry first (what voiceover actually is, genres, how money is made)
  2. Train your performance with a qualified VO coach
  3. Build business skills (marketing, branding, client management)
  4. Create pro demos when you’re truly ready, not at the start
  5. Set up basic home recording and learn to work as a solo entrepreneur

I bundle this roadmap into my beginner resources, classes, YouTube videos (Gift of Gab channel), and “getting started” materials on my website, which work together like a practical starter guide.

What step are you currently on: pure beginner, some training, or already dabbling in auditions?
