What insights does Wayne T. Richards provide on the influence of movies on spiritual beliefs?

Wayne T. Richards highlights that movies do far more than entertain; they memorialize ideas and normalize them in our minds and culture. Through repetition, story, and powerful visuals, films can subtly shape what people accept as “harmless,” “normal,” or even “spiritual truth.”

He also warns that some content can open doors to idolatry and demonic activity, especially when stories glamorize occult themes, false gods, or distorted views of good and evil. That is why he emphasizes spiritual awareness and media literacy—being intentional about what we watch, and discerning the beliefs and spirits behind the stories, not just the surface entertainment.
