In my Welsh Mythology work, there isn’t a single “definitive guide” volume just on Brân the Blessed; instead, I approach him through a few key lenses:
- His role in the Mabinogi (especially the Second Branch)
- His symbolism as a giant, king, and bridge between worlds
- The magical and initiatory themes around sacrifice, sovereignty, and protection
For a deep dive, I recommend combining:
- A solid translation of the Mabinogi (read the Second Branch closely)
- My lectures and discussions where I unpack his symbolism and magical applications
Are you looking for Brân primarily as a mythological study, or for practical magical work with his current?
