Bill’s approach to value of work done (VOWD) ties effort directly to dollars, which immediately sharpens project efficiency.
By knowing:
- Hourly labor rate, and
- Actual hours worked
a project leader can see, in real time, what the work performed is “worth” financially. This makes it easy to spot over‑spend, under‑pricing, and low‑value activities early instead of at the end of the project.
On fixed‑fee work, dividing the total fee by total hours gives the effective hourly rate. If what is paid to the team is higher than that, the project is losing money, which pushes leaders to streamline, delegate smarter, or adjust pricing on future projects.
Would you like help applying this VOWD method to one of your current projects or offers?
