Bill measures proposal success with two connected metrics, both under the umbrella of “win rate.”

  1. Win Rate (by count): Number of proposals won divided by number of proposals submitted. If 10 proposals go out and 4 are approved, the win rate is 40%. This tells how often proposals are accepted.
  2. Dollar Win Rate (by value): Total dollars secured divided by total dollars proposed. If $100K is proposed and $59K is won, the dollar win rate is 59%. This shows how effective proposals are at capturing revenue, not just approvals.

Used together, these answer: “How many proposals are winning?” and “How many of the dollars on the table are actually being captured?”

Would you like help calculating these for your own proposals?
