Sound healing is not “better than” traditional grief therapy; it is different, and for some people it goes deeper or works faster because it reaches places words cannot.

Where it can outperform talk therapy is in situations like:

  1. When you are numb, shut down, or “beyond words”
  2. When trauma is stored in the body as tension, pain, or panic
  3. When you long for a spiritual or energetic sense of connection

Crystal singing bowls and other sound tools help:

  1. Shift brainwaves into relaxed states where processing is easier
  2. Gently release held emotion from the nervous system
  3. Create experiences of felt connection, peace, and meaning without needing to “explain”

Ideally, sound healing complements good therapy rather than replaces it. A lot of my clients do both and find the combination especially powerful.

Would you like ideas for a simple sound-healing practice you can start at home alongside any therapy you are doing?
